Open Access

Our aim is to make accessing treatment as easy as possible for drug and alcohol users, and their families and friends.

The Swansea Drugs Project has operated a drop in centre / open access service for nearly 25 years and ensures that substance misusers are able to get advice and support with minimum waiting.

Clients are able to turn up at the project and be seen there and then by a duty worker.

Emergency referrals can usually be seen immediately.

Limited home visits can be made, especially for those with mobility problems, older people, and those in later stages of pregnancy.
